Question, is there any way to reset the game from scratch? I wanted to replay it with a different character, but I keep getting the ending screen even after deleting and redownloading the game.

The other one is under „C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\RenPy“ Just select the RenPy folder, find the „DatingSim389“ folder inside of it, and delete the persistent file that one has as well."
This was the most horrifying, cute and heartwrenching experience. The game is great, the visuals are beautiful along with the music. Great tone and vibe of visual novel.

Didn't really see the twist coming so I was genuinely shocked. After the first character you pick leaves, it doesn't even explain. That is true fear. You don't even know that your actions have consequences and you don't receive an explanation afterwards. This game is brilliantly terrifying, I LOVE IT!

i see that other people left kenji for last too. when i had the idea it was playing out as a normal dating sim, i was trying to save my faves for last (haru and kenji! but i do love the other two, too) so when haru started going off on my ass i was like "whew. okay." but i still love him... i'm going to do another run where i start with haru + kenji! see where that leads
Did you end up doing another run? I can't get mine to run again. If you have any tips pls share!! I'd love to play again where I save my faves for last instead of making them disappear :((

Hi! This is an error showing up on certain PCs when playing the web version. I haven‘t quite figured out how to fix it yet and I suspect it has to do with how Ren‘Py exports its games into the web format (in which case I can‘t do anything, because it‘s a problem with the engine)
If this shows up for you, try downloading the game and playing it locally on your computer. That should always work!
aaaa i was so confused. the first time i played i choose to spend recess with akira and it suddenly took me to the menu, i thought i should've saved the game or something and it tooks me like 5 minutes to realize akira wasn't there anymore, i feel so dumb adksksjs

Man did this give me a whole heaping of existential crisis. I feel so bad for Akira, Haru, Ryuu, and Kenji like what the hell. The ending was so sad especially since I picked Kenji as last and the 4th wall break?? That was amazing as it was sad. Wonderful game especially with how meta it is, even to the title as it is a Dating Sim and it's so generic that it could have been forgotten-- I wonder how the player in the game felt watching those characters they love gain some sort of sentience as the game began to delete itself in real time. Must have been traumatizing and hard for them...
Hi crazette! If you‘re talking about the MC, this game is intentionally modeled after late 2000s, early 2010s otome games, which usually were very limited regarding gender options, or character customization.
If you‘d rather like to play something with queer or generally more diverse characters, feel free to check out my other games!! Nevergrove in particular has a POV main character you can name and choose the pronouns of, as well as a bigger cast to fall in love with :)

When the game started glitching and removed haru, I thought that some yandere must've been breaking the fourth wall and messing with the game script. I've been too invested in yanderes, I think its time I should calm down a little lol
ANYWHO I know what I said but I just had a teensy little suspicion that something was off and I was right! Man... I love these games
Though, something I would like to add, maybe remove the glitchy text from the log? Y'know, when the game starts glitching? Just remove the text from the log and pretend it never happened so that the game could gaslight the player and enhances the experience and makes it a lot spookier hehe
I'd also like to say that I'm evil for leaving kenji for last Just wanted to see him panic :D

What a typical yet cute dating sim! Personally, I like Akira the best because he's more down-to-earth than the other guys. The art style is pretty fluffy and soft. Sure hope that this game can stay online forever :)

replaying it again :3 I like the 4 love interest. I like Haru being the caring childhood friend, I'm into childhood troops sometimes due to them being the 2nd lead most of the time in the series *sob* I like Akira for being smart and polite. His way to care for the MC *give stink eyes* lolol. I like Kenji too although he always pulls some pranks for ladies especially that first encounter xD but he knows to apologize if it's a little too far. Ryuu is good too, he might be seen as rough outside but he's softie if you get to know him.
Since it was made for a week, it's pretty short but I like the art and the plot, it reminds me of DDLC. It's pretty sad after you choose them one by one. Especially the last fella. I choose Haru, Kenji, Ryuu, and Akira in order.

I started playing last night (downloaded through Itch.io) and picked it up again to play today. I was at the point of going to hang out with Akira again, and suddenly I started getting a bunch of visual and text glitches - they were so bad that at first I thought they must be part of the story.
I noticed there was an update, so I just updated and restarted, and the same thing is happening from the beginning now - text is turning into unsupported characters and the visuals (mostly in the text boxes and choices) are getting black and rainbow boxes around them.
This being a gamejam game I have made most of it in a pretty sleep deprived state and I'm actually looking through the code right now, to catch a few bugs I have missed the first time.
Expect this to be fixed soon :)
Edit: Ah, I've actually just noticed that this is a network error. You're playing the web version, right?
That sometimes happens if the internet connection is slow and has trouble loading the images in. Did you try to rollback?
I can't rollback or select any of the options at the bottom, it's like as if it's an image.
Edit (and spoilers): Also, at the end of the game this happens as well, meaning that I can't really enjoy the ending :(. I'll try downloading the windows version instead.

That's really a bummer, I'm sorry. I hope it didn't put too much of a damper on your experience.
The good news is that the downloadable version definitely shouldn't have an any of these issues, so everything should work just fine if you do that!
